Last updated 5 September 2026

LingoLoop hasn't launched yet. The only thing this site collects is a waitlist signup, and this page explains exactly what that means. It is short because there isn't much to tell.

Who is asking

whoLingoLoop
whereToronto, Ontario, Canada

That address is a real inbox and it is the fastest way to reach a person about anything on this page.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we record:

We do not ask for your name, your age, your location, or a password. There is no account to create yet. We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site, and nothing here follows you around the internet.

What we will send you — and it really is only two

By joining the waitlist you're agreeing to receive two emails, ever:

01
A short confirmation that we've got your email and, if you wrote one, your watch list.

02
One email when the beta opens and you can actually use LingoLoop.

Then we stop. No newsletter, no tips, no drip sequence, no "just checking in." If we ever want to send you something beyond those two, we will ask you first — separately and clearly. We will never sell, rent, or trade your email address, and we won't hand your details to anyone else to market to you.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw your consent at any time, and you don't need a reason. Either:

We'll delete your row outright — not flag it, not hide it — and you'll hear nothing further. We aim to do this within a few days and, at the outside, within 10 business days.

Seeing or correcting what we hold

Write to [email protected] from the address you signed up with and we'll tell you exactly what's in your row, fix anything that's wrong, or delete it. There's no charge and no form to fill in.

Where it's kept

Waitlist signups are stored in a private Google Sheet belonging to LingoLoop, reached through Google Apps Script. That means Google processes and stores this data on our behalf, on servers that may be outside Canada, including in the United States. Google is the only third party involved. Access is limited to the two of us running LingoLoop.

The site is served as static files by our web host, which — like every web server — briefly logs requests for security and reliability. We don't build profiles from those logs.

How long we keep it

Until the beta opens and the second email goes out, plus a short window afterwards so we can tell who has been let in. After that, waitlist entries that never became accounts are deleted. If you unsubscribe before then, you're deleted at that point instead.

Children

LingoLoop isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll remove it.

If this page changes

If we change what we collect or what we send, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change means sending you something you didn't originally agree to, we'll ask for your consent again rather than assume it.
